| Born and bred in a musical family; graduate of Tianjin Music Conservatory specializing in the Huqin (Chinese fiddle); also conversant with wind and percussion instruments of the Northern Chinese tradition; resident soloist with Tianjin Music &Dance Company in the 1980s; widely known as "The Chinese Bow-String Master", compositions include the Joshua concerto "Sound of Principles" & soft bow piece "Ambience of Yu Affairs", Immigrated to the U.S. in 1994, made major appearances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Cener, and on Broadway and performed concerts and forums in Southeast Asia; produced CD "All New Feeling in the Erhu". In 1996, founded CBA Culture & Arts Center, currently CBA president & Artistic Director, dedicated to teaching, preservation &promotion of traditional Chinese Arts. |
