Soul Sanctuary: Berkeley's Sunday Freestyle Dance at Ashkenaz Since 2003
Every Sunday from 11 am to 1 pm, we dance to an irresistible eclectic blend of funk, R&B, world music, positive hip hop, reggae, dance classics, jazz, blues, electronica, and other music to free mind, body and soul.
Soul Sanctuary is rejuvenating, fun, and nourishing for the soul, and a great informal workout too. Express yourself freely and enjoy community in a supportive environment. Children and teens are always appreciated on the dance floor. See you on the dance floor - shoes optional!
Admission: $5 - $15 sliding scale.
Newcomers and children 12 and under: free. NOTAFLOF. Wheelchair accessible. No scented products please.
Organic fruit for all after the dance.
