Helpful Hints
Arrive on time. The music we play at the start of our dance is chosen with care to help you get off to a good start.
When you first arrive, take time to connect with yourself and your body. Stretch, feel the rhythm of our gentle opening music, and focus on your own
emotional and physical needs.
Set yourself free in your expression. Be funny, be serious, dance crazy, dance gently. You're invited to do things you don't normally let yourself do.
After connecting with yourself, connect with others through dance. Make eye contact, mimic how someone else is dancing, or reach out towards someone. Connecting through dance doesn't have to include touch, but it can.
Participate in the closing circle at the end of the dance. You don't have to speak, but you're invited say something about the experience you've just had. We always leave time for community announcements at the end.
