CommandO vzw



	Commando is an airsoft club in Belgium. It is an official vzw (non-profit organization) registered in the "Staatsblad" number 2594/99 FROS 2206. The club was founded in 1998 and has grown steadily over the years. Currently there are some 40 airsoft enthusiasts in the club. Every two weeks we hold a skirmish on a forest field in Antwerp.
		To those of you who have never heard of airsoft here is a short explanation. Airsoft can best be compared with paintball but without paint. With airsoft we simulate combat so clothing, gear and tactics are as authentic as it can be. We use 1/1 replicas of real fire-arms that are made out of plastic and metal. Ammunition is in the form of 6mm plastic pellets (BB's). These pellets are biodegradable. Airsoft weapons (called AEG's) are driven by electric power (just like a radio controlled car) or by gas. Gas powered weapons are limited to handguns and small fully automatic machineguns. Automatic rifles are all battery operated. Range of the AEG's is about 30 meters and BB's fly out of the barrel at, on average, 325fps.
	As we do not use paint, it is a gentelman's game of honesty. But often you can hear the people scream when they are hit. As for the pain, all I can say is that it hurts less than paintball. You usually feel a slight sting and that is all. If you wish to join us for a skirmish to not hesitate to contact us. In no way is this club a para-military/militia/terrorist/or other group. We are simply military enthusiasts and that is all.
