When I was a kid, I started working first on "penny boards" which largely meant early Lincolns and Indians. And while I'm still refining those original sets, I'm also rediscovering a set I started -- and abandoned -- when I was an early teenager -- Seated Dimes. At the time, I wanted a set that was old, affordable, and gave me more mint mark collecting that cent collections (which had no mint marks until 1908) could provide. Even back then I was targeting the F/VF grades, with some XF coins at a nice price -- and despite 25 years and a deeper wallet, I'm sticking with that! I like the look of problem-free, circulated silver. The list below includes the (currently short) list of Seated Dimes I now have (having sold a the few I had two decades ago, sadly) and is the basis from which I'll build. If you have nice VF/XF Seated Dimes you're looking to sell, please let me know. (Keep in mind that the dates that will set me back a grand or more, may be out of my range. I may not be ready for an 1860-O, or an 1871 to 1874-CC, for example, but I'll always listen to an offer for a nice coin at an attractive price. For the right price I can extend my budget for any date, most likely.)
