Mintage: 5,496,487. Date Acquired: 26 December 2004. Variety: Probably F-118. About This Coin: This coin has a little bit of electric blue toning around the rims, particularly in the area near the date. It looks like a bit of album toning. At first I thought this was just a typical XF at a decent price. But looking at it closer -- months later -- this has some characteristics of a legitimate AU. The coin is still very lustrous with only a light gray sheen over the coin (which dominates the picture) but shows a lot of luster and original color on the periphery in the light. I really need to try to get a better picture to show it! If I could get a good picture of the surfaces and the color -- totally original with some champagne, a little rose, a little electric blue -- you'd probably agree. Not a bad pickup as an $20ish pickup on eBay! |
