About This Coin:
The hits on the cheek are the only real distractions on this coin, considerable but given the strong luster, attractive light peripheral toning and nearly mark-free fields, overall it's a very strong example of this type in this grade. The only wear evident is a very minor break in luster over the cheek. As the first year of issue, there is a little more pressure on this date from first-year type collectors, but it's also a fairly plentiful date in AU to mint state condition as many people saved "souvenirs" of the new coin in its first year of issue.
