Would you like to join us?

For every horse in the pasture there is likely a woman in the kitchen longing for someone to ride with.  She has long since given up her childhood dream of riding into the sunset.  Instead, she married, raised her children, maybe even was a "showmom" or 4 H mom, but always others' needs before hers.  Her husband has no interest in horses.  If she is lucky enough to have ponies or horses as pasture ornaments he wonders why?

Now there is a place and a club for her.  RHPC is composed of women just like her.  Some have waited over thirty years to ride again, but they are doing it, and doing it with a bang!  We are a band of self sacrificers whose time has come, whose time is now!  We camp, trailride, line dance, play soccer on horseback, square dance on horse back, parade the small towns, and parade the really, really big ones.  The crowd loves us because though they may not be horse people they still identify with what we stand for and what we are doing.  They often shout to us "You are our Heroes!!!!"

Don't be shy.  You can do it again.  If you don't have a horse we'll loan you one at the clinics.  If you don't have a trailer we will try very hard to find you and your mount a ride.  If you are afraid  your horse cannot do it, so were all of us.  Nearly every horse we have started has finished the training and loves to parade as much as its rider.  Don't know how to decorate a horse?  We'll teach you.  Next thing you know you 'll be making costumes for all of us!
