De Rosa 35th w/Campy C Group

This is the the 35th Anniversary model made so far by the house of De Rosa. in 1988. Original pearly silver paint and blue pinstriping. The entire driveline is Campy with Ugo De Rosas signature on the stem, brakesets, and frame. 3TTT bars, Turbo seat, new Continental tires, and Campagnolo Lamda aero rims. Made from Columbus SLX Tubing. Tube sizes are as follows. Top tube is 55cm or 22-5/8" long center to center. Head tube is 140cm or 5-1/2" long. Down tube is 61cm or 24" center to center. Seat tube is 55.5 or 21-7/8" from center to center. Seat stays are 54cm or 21-1/4" from center of dropout to tip. Chain stays are 41cm or 16-1/8" from center of dropout to center of bottom bracket. Bottom bracket is 171mm. Rear dropouts are 130mm wide. Seatpost is 27.2mm. Front gears are 53/39. Rear cog is "Regina America" seven speed, 13/14/15/17/19/21/23.

There was reportedly either 250 or 300 made in total of which very few ade their way stateside. yours is the 81st as on the bottom bracket it reads 35/81. they were only available as fully built and equipped bicycles as yours is pictured with the full Campagnolo C Record groupset. De rosa was and still is the manufacturer that champions go to when they are buying themselves a bicycle rather than being paid to ride what they are given. the last # on the bottom bracket appears to be a /1 - most that i have spoken to really beleive that this was ugo's #, either way his 3 sons also build and are very high on quality control and standards. the company would never admit to their coding as it would be hard to sell to the masses if every frame wasnt built by Ugo. few other noted framebuilders touch any of their frames.
