A Life of One's Own
Looking through
old photos, whether mine or other peoples', is a very particular
pleasure for me. Photos stored in drawers, tucked into the pages
of journals, carried from old apartment to new in shoe boxes, tacked
haphazardly on walls are the ones I treasure most because they are
the ones we live with or have lived with in an intimate way. These
are the photos from my own life reexamined years later to see what
the passage of time has added or taken away.
