Gypsy Violin, New Jersey Art Strings 2004
From the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra site:

Now in its third year, Art Strings is an innovative program at the NJSO, designed to combine the visual and aural arts and to raise funds to support its operations. The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra has commissioned twelve visual artists to create individual works of art using violins as their canvas. These transformed violins will be displayed at selected venues throughout New Jersey and will be raffled off on June 25, 2004.

Art Strings 2004 will be launched at a Wine Reception at the New Jersey Center for Visual Arts in Summit on Saturday, January ?31, 2004, 4-6pm. Open to the public, this event is a wonderful opportunity to view the Art Strings violins and meet the artists.

The artists selected for this project are: Bashkim Ameti (Summit), Tim Daly (Hoboken), Joan Fine (Maplewood), Yolanda Fundora (Chatham), Patti Kaufman (Sea Bright), Jackie Park (Summit), Stewart M. Perlow (Manalapan), Eric Pryor (West Orange), Robin Robertson (Trenton), Sandy Sandy (Tabernacle), Suzanne Scott (Pompton Lakes) and Astrit Votoci (Summit). The violins were donated by Mo Menzel, Inc. in Livingston.
