Welcome to WBE Network - the podcast of the Women's Business Exchange! To find out how to listen to the podcast and navigate this site, click on "Read More" just below...

WBE Network is a pilot to test the use of podcasts in sharing news and building community for the Women's Business Exchange. A podcast is simply an audio program available on the internet or downloadable from a directory of podcasts - such as iTunes. This is a temporary site to facilitate the pilot.

Software requirements:
This site should work on Mac or PC and with most standard browsers, although you will need QuickTime to play the audio program from this site.

How to listen to the podcast:
There are several ways you can listen to the podcast, ranging from easy to techie...

>>>>Easiest:

Be patient because it may take a little while to load. You will see a small rectangular panel with VCR-like controls. The audio may start playing automatically, but if not click on the play button (be sure to have your sound turned on and I recommend using headphones or good quality speakers).

If you have iTunes, simply go to the iTunes music store, click on Podcasts and search for WBE. You can download or subscribe to the podcast for free. (There is a link to iTunes on the right side of this page. iTunes software is available for free for Mac or PC.)

Explore this site. Find the story titled "Podcast for December 2005," click on "Read More" and follow the instructions.

You can download the audio file to you computer. On a Mac: click on the podcast track name while holding down the "ctrl" key to bring up a menu - then click on "download linked file." On a PC: open that same menu by right clicking.

How to navigate this site:
This site is actually a web log or "blog." If you are not a "blogger," the interface may take some getting used to.  On the main page you will see a list of story titles, beneath each title is a short abstract, and beneath the abstract is a set of links  - clicking on "Read More" will take you to the full story. To return, use the set of navigation links beneath the full story or use your browser's back button. You can jump back to the main page by using the "Quick Links" menu at the top right corner of the page...click on "Blog - WBE Network." Explore the site by using the navigation panel on the right side of the page.
