Sat. November 1, 2:00-6:30 pm
For the first time in the 4-year history of YDKM we will have tri-hosts, and fittingly so. Nestled just inside the southern valley mountains are 3 Macintosh User Groups only miles apart -- JoMacs, Apple Blossom Computer Club, and Rogue Macs.
Our tri-hosts bring a unique blend from each MUG and its community -- check out more about JoMacs, ABCC and Rogue Macs on our tri-hosts page!
This Andy's not from Mayberry, but Boston, and he flys in to MC!
We are proud to announce that Chicago Sun-Times and MacWorld Magazine columnist Andy Ihnatko will be
Master
of Ceremonies this year. Andy will be making his first trip to Oregon, and we are proud to have him. Want to get to know more about Andy BEFORE he arrives? Read this excellent story and interview with Ihnatko by Derrick Story on the O'Reilly Associates website. Andy will be a keynote speaker at O'Reilly's OSX Conference in California just before his journey to YDKM 2003. You can also read a different slant on Ihnatko on our MC page.
You'll be tickled with Seven Feathers!
Our tri-hosts have chosen Seven Feathers Hotel & Casino Convention Center only 15 miles north of Grants Pass, and right off of Interstate-5. This facility was chosen because it meets our event needs, including easy access, nice convention rooms, food services and hotel rooms.
Why not make it a weekend vacation? Take advantage of Seven Feathers room discount for YDKM attendees!

Online
registration to
attend
Our YDKM event day is FREE, but with limited seating we ask
(politely even!) that you pre-register online
or via email to ensure that you have a seat -- we
don't want to you to miss it! Visitors are, of
course, welcome, but seating priority may be given
to current MUG members. Oh, and registration is
fret-free... we use the limited registration info
ONLY for our YDKM attendance progress and share
your info with no one else. Of course.

The

Tastes Great (more sun), Less Filling (the rain) in Southern Oregon
"It's The Climate" is the moto in Grants Pass... and that seems to be the theme of most of southern Oregon. A bit more sun and warmer temperatures than the northern half of our state. Outstanding rivers (like South Umpqua, and further south, the Rogue) to fish, canoe, kayak, drift, paddle-boat... and, well, just about anything aquatic. Need more wild in your life? Then visit the Wildlife Safari, a drive-through wild life animal park, in Winston, about 30 miles north of Seven Feathers.
Which
MUGs will compete?
As tri-hosts, JoMacs, ABCC and Rogue Macs will field a combined team (which they have dubbed "JARMUG"); returning from a 2-year absence is CMUG (Corvallis), which hosted the inaugural YDKM; SMUG (Salem) from our state capitol will make its first team appearance; and from last year's co-host, COMUG (Bend).
Clicking on the links below will take you to each MUG's own website (in a separate window):

Salem
- AshMUG

- Tri-Hosts (JoMacs, ABCC, Rogue Macs)

The
Vendor Hall of
Fame
One of the coolest and productive aspects of Event Day, our Vendor
Hall of Fame gives you a full hour plus to visit with industry vendors from around the state (and maybe beyond) who know the value of MUGs and support them! We will be updating our a Vendor Hall of Fame page indicating which vendors will be supporting our event and those who will be at Event Day.
Check out who was there for 2002, you may see some familiar names and faces!
