Oct. 11, as AshMUG welcomed David Lorenz Winston, acclaimed professional photographer. Mr. Winston used Keynote to demonstrate his work and process. AshMUG teamed up with Omug to bring legend Guy Kawasaki to its May 12 meeting and present him on a live webcast. As Oregon MUGs know, Kawasaki is no ordinary Guy -- he took time to join AshMUG via iChat video conference and bring his wisdom to business students at Southern Oregon University as well (this meeting was hosted on campus).

is a community based MUG in Brookings, and meets in the computer lab (room 51) of Kalmiopsis Elementary School, 650 Easy Street, on the first Monday of each month only during the school year (August through June). Meetings are from 7-8:30 p.m. CCMUG actually started in 2008, but only recently became a registered Apple Users Group (MUG). The elementary school is very Mac-centric, with 250 Macs and 4 PCs. Curry County MUG is just beginning to build its website.

MUGport held a very special Font/Typography presentation in 2007 -- 3 special guest typography experts (from Canada, Iceland and Argentina) converged on Newport to spread their typography knowledge on many levels of design and use. MUGport had a full house that night.
