Wisconsin Central U.P. Operations: WC Division Operations in the U.P. are many.
Operations have changed a lot since CN took over but here they are in a nutshell. White Pine Sub runs a train from Bessemer (Black River Rd Crossing) to White Pine Tue, Thur and Sun. Run from Bessemer to Marengo Mon, Wed and Fri, going all the way to Mellen on Fri. L'Anse job LO40 normally runs Mon-Fri, On duty at Ishpeming, working to Partridge then L'Anse. Ore Sub sees 3-4 Ore Trains daily plus LO39 to Sawyer around 9am most days. Munising branch trains run from Trout Lake to Munising, not sure how the turns work there, if they run one day out/one day back or not. Marinette Sub gets the Quinnesec Job and SOGB/GBSO supertrains. Quinnesec Sub has the 2 Mill Jobs (Quinnesec and Niagra) and the 'To Gladstone' job. And the Manistique Sub/East has the GBSO/SOGB trains, a local out of Gladstone to Manistique, and possibly a local to Trout Lake from Saulte Ste Marie, but SOGB/GBSO now may do that. WC Operations are dissapearing as CN is running the show, shoot all you can while you can!

Recent Railfanning/News: April 30, 2006: picked up a couple new shots out on Goose Lake. I am still not done with this area photo-wise, the 2nd shot was in pretty tough light but I guess will work.
