Who owns a Red Cross? 

St George?  The Knights of Malta?  No, apparently Johnson & Johnson does and is suing the Red Cross in the USA for infringing its registered trade mark ...

Apparently, they have been getting along fine since at least 1985, but those agents of the forces of darkness and evil at Chaos the Red Cross have started licensing people to sell first aid kits with red crosses on them.

Patent Baristas are shocked, IPKat thinks crosses and crescents, but not pretzels, are discriminatory and has some links to some other public relations disasters.  

Not sure how reliable I would regard my search of online ATMOSS for a device, but it shows J & J as owning only TM 974968 with a cross device (inside a house) in conjunction with Johnson & Johnson First Aid Kit.

lRed Cross has a red cross with a beetle 787017.
