I am reading Amir D. Aczel's "Pendulum : Leon Foucault and the Triumph of Science".
Apparently, Foucault was sent to medical school by his mother. He impressed his professor of microscopy but he had to withdraw from medical school when the sight of blood made him sick. Guess I am not alone! |
