PROFILE
A creative online editor/artist with seven years in the post-production industry, a flair for graphics & effects intensive work and a professional, quality-centric work ethic, dedicated to timely, imaginative results.

EMPLOYMENT
CBC TV (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) 2003-2004
The CBC is Canada’s national broadcast network. Projects for the CBC included promotional spots (:30s) up-to multi-hour, multi-cam, multi-editor projects utilizing both Media Composer and Symphony. Specific shows include Artspots, Poetry Face-Off, Street Cents, and Christmas in Kabul.

The Aftermath Crew (Seahorse Ent.) 2002-2003
An insanely low-budget meant that Aftermath was offlined on three stand-alone Final Cut Pro workstations, one Xpress DV workstation and onlined on a Media Composer. Woody was both off-line editor for 12 episodes, as well as online editor for all of them. Betacam, Digital Betacam and DVCAM footage was mixed with 3D animation and 2D graphics for a well-branded childrens program about mathematics.
26 episodes x 24 minutes

Lexx IV (DZ4 Productions + SciFi Channel + Channel 5 UK) 2001-2002
A cult science-fiction show, 80% of the shots on Lexx required visual-effects. Media Illusion, After Effects & Jaleo were utilized to finish 10-15 multilayered green-screen HDCAM shots per shift. The 3D-Compositing-Paint-Online workflow was streamlined as a result of suggestions concerning workstation interoperability.
24 episodes x 45 minutes

Freelance 1997-2001
Work included projects for regional broadcasters (CTV, CBC, Global), corporations and advertising angicies (Bristol, CCL Group & Creative Atlantic). Commercial spots focused on title treatments while corporate spots focused on project proposal and annual general meeting videos.
