Proof that the color variation is not from the different dye lots. Notice the "candy stripped" thread in this photo? The skeins I plied together must have been either scoured differently initially (in the fleece), or were perhaps from different fleeces which took the dye differently. (In both instances, it would once again be a case of how much grease each had left in it, and the length of time it sat in the grease.)
