We have been exceedingly pleased with Woodlands Academy. Our son is a highly motivate learner and in his prior school often completed the days work early and had to fill his time with independent reading. His public school teach was fine but didn't have the time or resources to challenge Jake.

At Woodlands the teachers have fully engaged with Jake, challenging him at the appropriate level and not limiting his academic opportunity to a rigid progression through the curriculum. He's really flourished with the one-on-one attention of his teachers. His verbal skills have been furthered and he's acquired a strong foundation in mathematics. The instructors consistently challenge him in ways that are creative and make learning fun. Latin, and rich field trips, and overnights, have been wonderful extras. Frankly, we'd be completely satisfied simply with the academic environment, but the community that has arisen at Woodlands, and the obvious passion the teachers bring to their work, has made us feel very fortunate to have been able to enroll Jake at Woodlands.

Woodlands Academy has given me work that is thought provoking and challenging, not busy work like at my old school. My teachers encourage independent thinking. Math has been fun and not only am I learning math skills but I have increased my grade level in math and that makes me very proud.
