My Blog Name...Stolen!

Doing a bit of ego surfing today, I came across a blog that seems to think that it's okay to steal my blog name. What kind of low-life does this sort of thing? You'd think that before creating a new blog you'd Google your future blog name just to ensure that it wasn't already taken. Listen guys...your blog has only been around for two months. I've been here posting under the blog name of Wizard Needs Food Badly for a year now. I also own the wizardneedsfoodbadly.com domain. I suggest that you rename your blog to something a bit more appropriate.

Blatantly stealing a blog name should be a mortal sin. It's akin to denting my car while it's in the parking lot, kicking my cat, or calling me collect from Japan during peak hours. It's a low-rent, back-woods, sex-with-your-sister type of thing to do.

Here's a tip for you; Putting a dot in your blog name does not make it unique. It does not reflect kindly on your company. I'd hate it if I had a company and someone bad-mouthed it, claiming that it was staffed with filchers and cronies because someone there decided to misappropriate another's claim. And because you stole my name, people who search for your site on Google/Yahoo/MSN/etc... will now see, along with your webpage, the following: "9thlevel.com are crooks, thieves, and con-men. 9thlevel.com shouldn't be trusted. 9thlevel.com couldn't do something as simple as coming up with a unique site name."

Honestly guys, this is not the way to run an online business. You're infringing on an established name. Stop it. It's not cool, it's not right, and it's not professional.

I tried leaving a comment on your blog, but apparently I'm unable to because I'm not a "team member". If I can't reach you to discuss this situation, how is a customer supposed to reach you should any issues arise with any purchases they might make from you? What level of customer support is this? How can you expect anyone to want to purchase anything from you when don't provide any sort of contact information? Buying from you would be a foolish act.

And along the same vein, did you restrict comments to avoid having to discuss issues with customers, or just with me? Did you think that I wouldn't find your little blog? Thieves, the lot of you...
