This brewery is based on Saltspring Island.  They produce a number of beers and some special seasonal beers as well.  They can be hard to find.  Available in the larger liquor outlets.

Salt Spring Golden Ale

A beer that looks better than it tastes.  The lemony base of this beer is too strong for my liking.  It has nothing to counterbalance this strong flavour.  Coming in 650 ml bottles you can pick up these beers at the local liquor stores for about 4.50. 

Fireside Winter Ale

This winter release of 2004-05 comes in a marvellous old-fashioned bottle.  But that's where the marvel ends.  Certainly an interesting looking beer it comes out strong and frothy it dissapoints with a lack of punch.  Winter ales are popular in BC.  Try the Granville Island version for something a little more impressive.
