Situated in the Revelstoke closer to Calgary than Vancouver, Mt-Begbie Brewing Company has been around since 1996 winning numerous awards.

 

Mt-Begbie - Tall Timber Ale

Fashionably decorated with a picture of loggers on the front this beer caught my eye in the liquor store one day. But since trying my first I've stayed far far away. This "Tall Timber Ale" might just be the perfect beer for the person who dislikes beer. It looks like Coca-Cola and it tastes a bit poppy as well. It's a sweet beer that seems to have a sugary base like brown sugar but not maple. And despite its sweet taste it doesn't seem to have much of a bite. Though it purports to have a rich, malty taste it had little substance. This is a beer for people who don't like beer. Sugared water.
