The Calling - eCard
McClelland and Stewart asked w8nc to create an online promotion for The Calling, a literary thriller by an anonymous North American author using the name Inger Ash Wolfe. The challenge for M&S was that, with an anonymous author, they had no way to do a book tour. So, they wanted to build buzz for the book online. Our solution was to create an "Calling Card" that extended the graphic and narrative elements of the story and allowed users to send each other Flash-based cards in which Polaroids of "victims" faces mouthed the phonemes of the user-generated message.
