PROFESSIONAL BIO:

William J. Blackburn founded Ka Hala Technologies in 2008 to provide technology startups and entreprenuerial software companies with the tools to survive in today's complex technology environment.

Mr. Blackburn is a talented, hands-on software engineer, application architect and technical leader with 20 years of experience in all facets of complex development projects. Much of his experience is in working with start-ups and early stage companies. Before founding his own company, he worked with ClairMail, Inc., a successful startup specializing in mobilizing enterprise applications. There he led the design and implementation of a sophisticated platform for providing banking, payments, and other services on mobile devices via SMS, mobile web, and native clients.

Prior to his time at ClairMail, he developed graphical management applications at Goldengate Software; was a founder at an Internet software start-up, and spent two years as a senior consultant for a major Silicon Valley consulting firm. In addition to this experience, he spent several years as an application developer in the MIS division of a medium sized commercial bank.

His specialties include Java enterprise software development, product design, fund-raising, and evangelism. He excels at building and motivating teams, has superior verbal and presentation skills and is an accomplished trainer
