SOI Project 2005 @ YOKOHAMA TRIENNALE 2005

...One of the foremost events in this blossoming socio-cultural phenomenon is “SOI Music Festival” which has become a saga for the Thai and Japanese music enthusiasts as an exciting transnational collaboration.... The word “SOI”, or “small alley” in Thai represents the conceptual implications of how Thai and Japanese artists inter-connect in inner city Bangkok and Tokyo while straddling different genres of their artistic practices.

In 2005, the organising committee of YOKOHAMA 2005Yokohama's second International Triennale of Contemporary Art has invited the “SOI” team to participate in the festival which incorporates interdisciplinary artistic approaches.

...Designed specifically for Yokohama 2005, SOI Project is a laboratory-like unit that will showcase the collaborations between artists and those within the circle of contemporary non-mainstream culture in Thailand.

Thailand/thailand

May 2003
Thailand/thailand is a reconstructed map of Thailand that relocate 76 provinces shape of Thailand in order to fit the proportion space as much as the size of 80x200 cm. It is an irony on the 'cry for national identity', a contemporary issue. It point out and question about identity and non-identity (which is somehow an identity of Thai). Do we really need to have identity? Without and identity, we could fit to anything any situation, isn't it good and fun?

Reflexology

2003
A commissioned work by Honda (for advertorial about New Honda Accord)
Inspired by traditional reflexology (foot massage) diagram, which is the relation of foot nodes that connect with different part of body organs. This illustration is another side of it, a connection that foot have with different part of car components.

multiple-screen video installation about cityscape of bangkok from skytrain.. the installation site is on the 5th floor of the building next to the skytrain line... at the same level... this installation also use multiple audio channel (20 (10 stereo))
at the set.. it really nice to see extremely horizontal aspects of Bangkok that is rarely seen. the juxtaposition between videoscape + soundscape of the work with the actual approaching of the train is really exciting.
