PhD Opportunities

15th January 2002

The Department of Human Sciences at Loughborough University has a number of half-funded (and a possibility of full-funded for exceptional students) PhD places available for UK and other EU citizens. I would be prepared to supervise students in the areas of palaeoanthropology, primate evolution, functional anatomy, biomechanics and primate locomotion. Prospective students may devise their own project or I can suggest suitable projects. Students will have access to micro-CT, motion capture, force and pressure plates, 3D digitisers, finite element and multi-body dynamic software, and extensive computer equipment. Projects will be based in Loughborough University but access to some equipment will require travelling to Liverpool.

Anyone interested should contact me at wis@mac.com.
