Bush Channels Reagan

The Washington Post today has Bush showing a proclivity for forgetting
what he said even a few days ago. Can we say "Newspeak," boys and girls?

The Washington Post has a great article on page one today, in which Bush stated: "the decision [to invade Iraq] was made after he gave Saddam Hussein 'a chance to allow the inspectors in, and he wouldn't let them in.' "

Huh?

Then what were all those US/UN inspectors doing in Iraq? How did they get in? Did they climb over the border-fence and sneak in? I don't think so. Come to think of it, how come all those international newspaper, including U.S. ones, had lots of stories about the inspectors in Iraq? Was it all mass hallucination?

I'm beginning to have a bad feeling about those insipid and/or blank, slackfaced expressions Dubyah gets on occasion. In fact, more and more frequently. Next thing we know, he'll throw up on someone important.
