Ray Charles to Benny Goodman to the Coasters, came for to have their publicity photos taken. Trained in
his native Austria, when he emigrated to New York in the late 1920s, he was one of the few photographers
willing to shoot stars of color -- Bill "Bojangles" Robinson, Cab Calloway, Ella Fitzgerarld, and hundreds more.
