Why new rules?

WFRP was published a long time ago, in 1986, and did get no update for almost twenty years. However, the rules and setting are so good that it easily survived those two decades, despite never getting a rules update and not getting company support for long stretches at a time. However, gradually the rules became antiquated. While the whole field of RPGs developed, WFRP kept its almost two decades old rules. And the discrepancy was felt.

In 2005 a second edition of the game finally appeared, and with it a much needed revision and streamlining of the rules. However, in a number of cases I feel that even better rules could have been created, or that the rules don't reflect my personal preferences for the game. Besides, WFRP has a tradition of fans tinkering with the system and writing new rules of their own.

My rules

You can find a number of excellent additional rules for WFRP 2 in the Liber Fanatica. What you find here are those rules that were developed after the relevant issues of LF were published.
