Daily Blog - Not Hardly
Daily is a relative term
Yup - finding important things to write about
aint easy but Mr Galloway's perfomance in front of the Senate Committee just
can't go without comment. George Galloway appeared before the Senate committee
to answer accusations that he had received oil options in return for his support
of the Sadam regime in Iraq. If the Senate committee expected George to roll
over and play dead they were in for a big surprise for not only did he use his
appearance, broadcast worldwide, to let America know just what he and many
others felt about Bush's illegal war but he pointed out several major flaws in
the Senate's own case. The transcript is a 'must read' for all of us who thought
that the great British tradition of oratory was dead.
The Senate might want to think twice before
taking on an ex-Glasgow MP in future. They're just lucky that he didn't leap
across the floor and stick the nut on the Chairman.
