OUT OF THE SHADOWS

John McCarthy returns to Lebanon

John McCarthy takes us on a personal and emotional journey to Lebanon - a country he has not seen since he was held hostage there by Shia Muslim gunmen. When he was freed, after 5 years of captivity, John hoped he would never see Lebanon again.

But now, in OUT OF THE SHADOWS, he is finally prepared to confront the ghosts of his past. John is motivated by the urge to understand the Shia, now that they are making such a dramatic impact on the Middle East.
