We traveled on a Boeing 747 that could hold over 360 passengers. The view out our window looked over the wing. We flew mostly over the Pacific Ocean. The plane was flying very high, mostly over 30, 000 feet. The air is VERY cold at that altitude. At times the temperature outside the plane was -50 degrees F. The spots in the picture are ice crystals.
Ginger and Warren Dale departed from LAX at about 2:20 PM local time of Saturday, July 6. We arrived in Korea at Incheon International Airport in Korea about 13 hours later. The local time was about 6:30 PM Sunday, July 7. The sun never went down during our whole flight. How did we get from Saturday afternoon to Sunday afternoon in 13 hours?
The seats were comfortable but close together. All the seats were taken. There were 3 large TV screens in our part of the cabin. The food was pretty good for airplane food. But is was rather crowded. We had two meals and a couple of snacks during the flight.
At the Incheon International Airport we met Susan. She is in the United States Air Force. Susan is the web master for her base's web site. http://www.kunsan.af.mil. She is also responsible for part of the local area network on the base.
We had a choice of beef steak or biebimbob for dinner on the plane trip. We choose biebimbob. The kimchi was great! Can you believe it? Check this out. On our return we left Seoul about 5 PM on Tuesday. After flying for about 11 hours we landed in Los Angeles about Noon on Tuesday. Can you tell me how we did that?
