Ya'll! I have taught ESL for 12 years in Houston, Texas and have 40 Korean
students. Most of my students stay for 2 years as their fathers are on
fellowships at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. How thrilled I was to learn
that I would be coming to Korea! For many years I had wanted to visit
Korea to see first hand what my students had been telling me. Not only
was I going to see the sights of Korea and visit the schools, I was going
to reconnect with five former families with whom I was very close with
in Houston.
The highlights of the trip was my Canadian roommate, and the fabulous people from all over the world. The history, the traditional food, the people, the humidity, the mountains, the apartments, my former students have filled me with memories. I sure hope we all keep in touch as we have become close to each other. Please stop and stay with me when you get down South.
