NSW Modern Sidecar State Titles moves to Oran Park GP Sept 9th-10th


Barry Morgan phoned me tonight to advise that HRR has abandoned the one day meeting planned for Eastern Creek Aug 12th in favour of a two day meeting at Oran Park's GP Circuit which he says has been handed to them by PCRA.

This was to be the Post Classic State Titles for all classes incl solos, as well as the final round of the Qld vs NSW Sidecar Challenge at which ALMCC is to host the presentation dinner.

PCRA President, Sue Dorling has confirmed these developments as follows:

We at PCRA have been trying to foster a P1 through P5 NSW State Title for some time now.  It seemed ludicrous that both PCRA and HRR were promoting State Title meetings for their associated classes and both meetings ending up relatively poorly subscribed.

With PCRA now promoting the Barry Sheene meeting and also with the intention of making the One Hour at the end of the year a more major event it seemed a sensible process for HRR to promote one big NSW State Title meeting.  And - at long last - it's happening!!

The decision has happened "over night" - with some provisions.  ie: That HRR hold State Title events for sidecars, as we have done, and that New Era and BRA classes are included as support events.
