Haircuts


I was just reading Wil Wheaton dot Net about his latest haircut and was thinking about how handy a haircut would be.

Last year after returning from the Port Fairy Folk Festival I accepted a dare from my daughter not to shave or cut my hair for a year. Prior to this I looked basically like Telly Sevalas only uglier. Now I look more like David Crosby but with a beard.

I have to admit I don't mind the long hair - it's fine but the no shaving is horrible. At this stage I can have soup and survive for a week afterwards from my moustache alone. It's also very handy as I haven't needed to floss for about two months now.

The other problem is the beard being so long it no longer fits under my surgical mask - so you have to wonder what's the point?

Also did you realise that beard hairs start to shed when they get to a certain length? They look exactly like pubes which is really unsettling.

Anyway the year ends on St Patrick's day so I will probably dye everything green before shaving it off and will skip the brandy for a Guinness .
