UEME is a special branch of the British Sub-Aqua Club, number 1629s. However as stated we also subscribe to the GUE and DIR philosophy of diving. These combined guidelines ensure that divers adhere to an internationally recognised course of training, are guided by qualified and experienced divers at every step of their development and are exposed to the highest possible standards.
What is the difference between a BSAC Branch, School or PADI?
In PADI instructors get paid to teach fee-paying strangers to dive or to take them diving. A BSAC branch is where friends regularly get together to train and to dive – nobody gets paid for their time but everybody has fun. After expenses any funds generated go towards paying the club’s bills.
