Komen Hawaii Race For The Cure
As many of the longtime readers here know, both me and Lofa are big supporters of The Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. We're anti-cancer in general, but the ladies are our heart, so we can't forget about them and what they gotta go through with this.
So, with that in mind, we're more than pleased to help promote this year's Hawaii Race for the Cure.
The 13th Annual Komen Hawaii Race For The Cure takes place Sunday, October 21st at 7AM. The Race starts at Kapiolani Park and goes around Waikiki, ending at the bandstand.
For those interested in participating, you can register online here. This link also provides a place where you can donate directly to the Race or to help support a team.
Your support will go a long way, as 75% of proceeds go to support local area breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs. At least 25% will go to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Award and Research Grant Program.
Now, if everyone donates $10 to help fight the cure, we'll be much closer to one than ever. By my calculations, according to the last stat check I did on the site, there's a LOT of people that check atypicalLIVING on the daily. SO, please, spend $10 on something worthwhile and help find a cure.
