Last Week’s Program: Mayor Bob Green was our guest and gave an update on the state of
Skaneateles (village). Among his topics were the village’s efforts to curtail
its costs during the recession. Bob also discussed what he believes would or
would not be dollar savings with a village / town consolidation of governmental
services. Several questions were asked and answers given.
This Week’s Program: Club Assembly (Rotary members only) dinner meeting
following the April board session (scheduled for 5 p.m.). John O’Sullivan
will give a recap on his ad hoc committee’s suggestions for better SRC / SRF
co-ordination.
Robin Jowaisas will brief us preliminarily on the upcoming pancake
breakfast.
Either Peter Adams or
Doug Rutan will discuss the ball field protective
screen project which we would anticipate beginning and completing this month. A
“Simms Field” line drawing is being sent with the newsletter mailing for your
review. There will be a board meeting review as time permits with board “bullet
points in next week’s Skantarian from both our March
and April sessions. As part of our Assembly / business session we will begin to
line up workers for some ball field fence building. Weather permitting the plan
is to do some preliminary work on Saturday, April 25 with actual construction
May 2 & 3. David
Lee will manage the actual construction as he did with both the pavilion
& gazebo.

Next Week’s Program: Steve Frackenpohl with the Skaneateleds Festival will present an overview of this
year’s program running from August into September. This is perhaps Skaneateles’
premier event and the early insights into the 2009 version should prove
exciting and informative.
Benediction & Atonement: Enjoying a forgetful reprieve last week, Brad McLennan
will handle fines and happy $$$ for us. Chuck Williams will provide us with one of his
thoughtful pre-meal invocation. Thanks to each of you!
