Bail Out Boss Chuck O’Neil brings in the big bucks as
a very “fine” master & happy $$ collector! In fact, Chuck has broken any and all previous records and
now holds the single evening “take” for most $$, $111. Unofficially he also
stands alone as beneficiary of the most $5’s in an evening. Great job Chuck and
to all who helped keep our money barrel full, a very generous evening. THANK
YOU.
50 / 50 Winner: A big night for money! After Dan Roche declared there was $2600 in the kitty, Jim Dorris’ number was chosen. He quickly and calmly selected the Queen of Spades, collecting the entire
pot. Was there exactly $2600? Jim wasn’t talking; he was too busy
pocketing. Congrats Jim, don’t
forget your friends as you pass through the bar.
March 12 Club Assembly
Meeting:
The Sherwood Inn will be closed
and our meeting will need to be in an alternate location. Please let a board member know of a
preference or suggestion you may have for this evening.
Last Week’s Program: Our own Bill Conole
gave an insightful look into the future of long-term health care in our area
plus what’s happening in other parts of the world as well. He covered everything from costs to
trends we’ll see in the future. Bill is the administrator of Crouse Community Center in
Morrisville.
This Week’s Program: Youth exchange inbound student Bruno de Melo from Joilo Pinheiro, Brazil will speak about his home
in the city and on his family’s cattle ranch where he helps as a wrangler
during branding, inoculation, and round up. We may even get a slide show featuring Bruno’s “home on the
Brazilian range.”
Next Week’s Program: For the second year running by Bill Butterbaugh is ably coordinating our Valentine Dinner. Signups important for
meal selection. Please see
or phone Bill to reserve a spot. The
Sherwood will provide great meal selections.
Benediction & Atonement: This week’s invocation will
be given by Skip
Plank, always an emissary of pensive, pertinent, thought. With our first and only happy $$ of the month and new year
being such a winner last week, maybe monthly fleecing are a good thing.
WinterFest: Skaneateles Sunrise
Rotary sends its thanks and gratitude to the many of us who volunteered
some time on Saturday to help make their “main event” a success. More quantifying details next week as
specific results become clear.
English Tutor: Our Youth Exchange
Committee is looking for a volunteer to help with tutoring an inbound
exchange student in English. If
you can assist, willing, able and would like to help, please contact Lori Ruhlman directly.
