Service Project Completion: Great Job Group! Congratulations to all, but
especially our site leader -- David Lee, plus organizers Peter Adams, Robin Jowaisas and Doug Rutan.
A special celebratory dinner is planned for Thursday. Additionally, Lori Ruhlman has an informative news
article written, with pictures to document the great work by our town’s two
Rotary clubs. Many thanks to Tom Seeley
and the Sunrise group team for their
help with service efforts.
Last Week: A good
“preview meeting” for the Father’s Day
Pancake Breakfast was presented by Robin
Jowaisas and Chuck O’Neil. Our objective of course is to raise
money for our Foundation and its worthy causes. Pre-breakfast ticket sales are
the secret to a sure success, so let’s sell our socks off and get the money in
the drawer!
Upstaging all last week, however, was the new all
time record fine and happy $$ master Karen
Price, raising $88! A new very “fine master.” Danny Roche will be back with a vengeance I am sure after losing
his title as King of Collections.
This Week: Newly proposed member Cheryl Silvestrini, sponsored by Bill Conole, will become our newest
member. Be there to welcome her and enjoy the evening. Club
Assembly for Rotary members will feature a “special dinner” evening. We are
sure hoping it will prove to be a meeting you will “not” want to miss. It will
be featuring some appreciation & celebration for a very good, solid Rotary
year.
Doug Rutan, our own Mr. President
Elect will have a questionnaire for us; essentially, as I understand it
asking what “Skaneateles Rotary Club” members would like to accomplish for our
community in Rotary year 2009 – 2010.
Rotary Board Meeting – 5 P.M.
Next Week: A classification “Trends
in Transportation” by John
O’Sullivan; a man always worth hearing. Welcome back.
Benediction
& Atonement: First time fine master Jean
Sardino will be ready to pick pockets and take our money (assuming that after Karen Price we have some left) with fines for misdeeds, altercations
& no shows on work details.
Phil D’Angelo has graciously offered to
begin our meeting with an invocation.
