Rotary
Timeline – 1989: Women begin to officially join Rotary's ranks
worldwide (though the United States had seen the first women Rotarians in
1986). Rotary returns to Hungary and Poland, and, in 1990, the Rotary Club of
Moscow is chartered as the first service club in the then-Soviet Union. Throughout
the 1990s, Rotary continues to expand throughout the world, including Eastern Europe and Asia.
