Thank you from Joan Priest:
Please
convey to everyone at Rotary how much Jack Priest enjoyed the note sent to him
. . . wishing him well. He loves Rotary and all that it stands for; therefore,
he truly appreciated the fact that so many of you took the time to say hello
and send best wishes to him warmly and sincerely. Dear John Hennessy called
Jack and asked him to do the invocation at [last] week's meeting. Do you all
have any idea about what this meant to him?! Some think he has too many amens
accompanying his prayer or that, perhaps, he shouldn't say Hubba, Hubba at the
end but, in my opinion, there is no one more spiritual or God-loving than my
husband. He is unbelievable to those of us who know him well. Just ask any one
of his children or grandchildren. He has left an indelible print of goodness on
each and every one of them. He is their hero but, being a humble, ordinary guy,
he would be embarrassed if he read this e-mail that I am writing.
I,
Joan, thank the Rotary members, too, because the greetings written to him by
every individual were wonderful. . . . They warmed our hearts! He hopes and
prays to be back soon. God bless you all. You are such good, thoughtful, and
selfless people.
Joan Priest
