Pursuit of Sasquatch: A Portrait of Dr. Grover S. Krantz
A Documentary Project
What compels individuals willing to sacrifice relationships, careers, and reputations while in pursuit of something that may be an enigmatic figure of lore? Is the drive a metaphysical one: to fill the void of the unknown, or is Sasquatch simply an elusive being? Grover S. Krantz, an outspoken and pragmatic believer in Sasquatch, was one of the elder statesmen in the Sasquatch research community. As a professor of anthropology at Washington State University, he risked the loss of professional advancement and endured public ridicule to scientifically document the evidence of Sasquatch. We interviewed many of today's leading Sasquatch researchers, which will illuminate the life of the late Dr. Grover S. Krantz. Through the recollections of such authorities as John Green, Christopher Murphy, Thomas Steenburg, Loren Coleman and others, a portrait of the inspiration behind the pursuit of Sasquatch for all researchers will be uncovered together with the sacrifices they have made, as well as the sacrifices of Dr. Grover Krantz. ![]() Thomas Steenburg and Dr. Krantz's cripple foot casts.
