I Now Live in California
Today was the big trip. I hopped on a plane this
morning from St. Louis and landed in LAX. I had a connecting flight that was
suppose to leave 40 minutes after I landed, well if I had landed on time. Was
really like 30 minutes. I landed at gate 46, the other flight was 44E. That is
just around the corner, right? Wrong. It was a shuttle ride on to the run way
and waiting on planes to pass and then going to this little terminal that looked
like it had been just dropped outside a hanger. My flight to San Jose was
already running late. Apparently a crew member got lost or something, and so we
left like 30 minutes late. So I got in to San Jose late. Had to wait for my
baggage, which took a long time. Then I take the shuttle over to rental cars,
and Hertz is backed out. So I was suppose to land at 2 and between delays and
everything I didn't leave the airport until almost 4. Got over to my apartment
quickly and was impressed with what I found. it is a nice little place. I took
some pictures of the apartment, you can find them here.It
still hasn't totally set in that I live out here now. Or that my governor can
take out mercs, aliens, and the T1000. Tomorrow I guess I will do some fun
stuff like grocery shopping, driving around to get to know the area, and maybe
going to see Hot
Fuzz. Oh and I have a bunch of reading to do for the new job. Now, I
need to go pass out from my long day of
travel.Update: I forgot to mention I
went and got some good food last night. My first meal was to drive over to In'N'Out burger
in Sunnyvale. That is some good stuff.
