Free, Free, Free like a Bird
So I am going through my second week now without
a job. It has been relaxing. I have taking my time and getting the house taken
care of. 14 bags to GoodWill already. Two weeks of large piles for the garbage
men. I did not realize how many financial documents I had. I had records back
from the late 90s. I also didn't realize how often my social security number
was on the documents. I found my grades from college and they had my SSN on
them. I must have had 4 bags of shredded documents. I still have a lot more to
do, but it is coming along. Things are going to be a lot easier when we get the
house empty. Probably when I move in we are going to ship the household
belongings out. I will find storage for somethings, but for the rest they will
just go straight to the apartment. Then all the other stuff can get sold or
give away. With the house empty get it cleaned, some paint touch up and
whatever other maintenance we find. Then the house goes on the market and
hopefully sells quickly. Did I mention most of this will be done by my loving
wife. I have less than three days to get all my stuff done. I am pretty much
on track I think. Have a couple lunches and happy hours that I have to deal
with, but otherwise I think I can get this all done. Or at least what I have
to. Time to make some calls and continue checking things off my
list.
