Weather Conspiracy
So the weather has conspired against us again and we have ended up spending another night in Chicago. This trip has not worked out so well for our travel. Still got to see my sister, brother-in-law, father, mother, and grandmother. Now need to think about a vacation that doesn't include a visit to family. Need to go visit some place new and find some time to do it.

Heavy Metal Burgers
Friday we went for an late lunch/early dinner. My sister took us to Kuma's Corner, a heavy metal themed bar where the burgers are named after heavy metal bands. I had a Black Sabbath, which was alright. I tried something different with a chili-burger and it wasn't exactly to my liking. Kim had a Meticalla with chicken. We had some Mac & Cheese with sweet corn and roasted peppers. It was a cool place and the food was good. I am adding it to my list of places to go when I visit Chicago family.

Command and Conquer
I finally finished up Command & Conquer Generals today on my laptop. It was a fun playing through the three campaigns. I always liked the C&C games. My powerbook didn't have the power to play through Generals before, so I hadn't finished it. I also tried to C&C Tiberian Wars on the XBox360. Nels had it from GameFly. I suspected and was right that I find RTS games a little tough with a controller. It was hard to make different groups of troops and to switch between them quickly. It looked to be fun and the acting in the cut scenes was great. Will have to pick it up for the Mac.

Flying is a Pain
So flying to Chicago was an adventure. Our direct flight out Thursday morning was cancelled in the rash of maintenance cancellations. We got rescheduled on a later flight through Austin which had a three hour lay over. At least it was suppose to be 3 hours but was instead closer to 7. The snow in Chicago caused delays which we would have missed if we had gotten our earlier flight. We didn't get into Chicago until after midnight. I am hoping that our flight back will go smoothly, but there are thunderstorms forecast tomorrow.

Gaming Update
So been getting through some games lately. Assassin's Creed was a lot of fun and I finished the story up two weekends ago. I need to go back and finish up some of the collectables and Templar assassinations. I got Stranglehold from GameFly and finished that this weekend. It was very much like a movie and had some crazy things. I want to watch HardBoiled again that is sure. Some of the achievements were about shooting 10,000 rounds and creating 75 Million dollars of damage. HardBoiled was all about the rounds of ammo and destruction, so that was fun. It wasn't a long game and the attacks got kind of mindless, but still was a good renter. I think I am going to take it with me to Chicago since the game went from Hong Kong to Chicago to take on Russian mafia. It even let you destroy the Chicago History Museum, which I think we are going to go to while we are in Chicago. Still have to get back and finish The Darkness and then I think I might start BioShock.
