Virgin Railways - Improved

Well with a change in work placement, I'm back using the railways in the North West again. This time, the difference from 2003, is that the old Virgin West Coast rolling stock has gone and now it is Pendolinos or Voyagers. It's a shame that I only sit on for about 35 minutes. Then unfortunately, I'm onto a branch line that uses what are probably still called DMUs - like a bus on rails. This is such a difference.

Of course, it is also surprising to see the amount of engineering work going on the lines, from felling many bushes and trees too close to the lines to replacement of ballast and track.
