Jack is a freelance writer and producer who owned several sailboats and cruised and lived aboard them while sailing summers in the waters from Maine to the Chesapeake.  After a 10-year hiatus from sailing, he went looking for a boat that had captured his heart years earlier — a Tartan 34C. 

Carol is a pharmaceutical industry marketing executive who, when not rabidly rooting for her hometown Pittsburgh Steelers, lavishes loving attention on her Scottish Terrier, Sophie.  Having sailed as crew on a friend's boat out of Dana Point, California, she's enjoying command of her first sailing vessel.

They reside in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey.
