What if I am not flexible?
This is the most common misconception that prevents people form coming to a yoga class. Yoga is not about how flexible you are, it is about stretching your body and spine in all directions. All that matter is that you perform the posture to the maximum of your own personal ability on a regular basis.
Why the heated room?
The room is intentionally heated to warm your muscles and allow you to work deeper and safer. It is heated to body temperature in order to increase blood flow to heals and help prevent injuries. It also promotes sweating, which flushes toxins from your body
Is it a cardiovascular workout and can I lose weight?
Yes. No matter what your level of fitness, you will find Bikram's yoga class challenging. Each posture combines flexibility, strength and balance to work your whole body from the bones to the skin. With persistence you can lose inches and develop muscle tone, strength and stamina
